awww, the two missionaries!

So my brother has been serving a two year mission in France. He has been out for about a year now! I am so happy for him. Time is really flying by so fast. He seems to really be enjoying and loving it there. His good friend and a good family friend Alex Zachary is about to get his mission call! Wouldn't that be awesome if he got sent to the same mission as Taylor?! Everyone is having a good time trying to guess to see who's guess will be closest to where he will be going! My guess is South Africa, yayyy! haha , well good luck Taylor and Alex! I found these pictures of them and thought they would be a cute post(: (WE FOUND OUT LAST NIGHT ALEX IS GOING TO MADAGASCAR AND SPEAKING FRENCH, TOO!)

IM SOOOO PUMPED!

I am super ready for Spring Break. Week days are getting old! I have not been up to much. Just school work and what not. Last weekend I stayed the night with some girls from my school. It was so much fun! We went swimming. Other than that nothing big has happened really. I am going to Rome in just a few days! I am so pumped! I am so ready for a break. I have been going to the gym alot lately, I really enjoy that. It feels good, all though I DEFFINATELY could lose some extra baggage. hahah, I feel like I have been gaining. And my clothes are shrinking AHHHHH :O no need to panic , lol its not that awful. In these past two weeks I have been reading Twilight , which is super good! I am already on Eclipse, WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT?! lol , those of you who know me know that I am not much of a reader. My family went out the other weekend. We ate at Mcdonalds and went to a comedy show! It was really funny, they made fun of alot of real things that people do, but don't even think about it being funny. And then my mother bought me a really cute necklace on her little vacation. I LOVE IT! And, we downloaded Picasa on our computor. If you don't know what that is, it is an AMAZING picture editing program. I used it in my yearbook class last year alot. It works wonders. If you don't have it , GET IT. So the other night for supper my dad made Gumbo. It was so yummy, and I have been missing that cajun food. LOL, its a good thing that the Zachary's sent us Tony's! It spices up the taste of food here. I find it weird that they have things written in Arabic AND English everywhere, because in America its only in English. So I guess that means that Arabs are more generous. HAHA, never would have guessed that. Well, last night my dad bought our plane tickets back to America! Its not to to tooo much longer, im SOOO PUMPED! I can't wait to go hangout with all of my best friends! woohooo, and I am going to ROME! OMGSHH, that sounds so weird In the last few months I have been to SIX different countries! I love and miss you all!

I ate pork, YES PORK!!

Hi friends and family, and fans!

So since I have posted last time, not alot has happened. I went to school, and it was a Wednesday. So it was the weekend! When I got home from school, we had gotten a package from the Zachary's! I was super excited, it had Tony's and my Burts Bees (I'm addicted to that lip gloss) , and a picture frame and picture that Mary Catherine made me! I loved it, and she even wrote me a letter! And Lily and Emma drew some cute pictures on the box, aww cuties! Some kids had invited me to go eat with them, but of course my parents were not going to let me go in a taxi to downtown Kobar on a weekend by myself. So my mom and Evan went with me in the taxi, and I went to Chili's and right next door there is a Pizza Hut. Mom and Evan ate there and my Dad met them. I met my group and then they wanted me to go to another compound with them after, so I went and asked if I could, and it all worked out. It was alot of fun, seven of us kids ended up cramming in the same taxi, and at first the driver was like "no no no no too many, too many". But after ALOT of convincing and we bribed him with extra tips, he was like "okay okay -just get down and hide from police".. so we did. We just went to two different compounds, went to the park and did alot of running around, just stuff kids do here I guess. Then me and this other girl (Tanya) who lives in my same compound got a taxi back at about eleven. This other boy caught a ride with us too, he goes to our school but I don't know him and I forgot his name. He says he rides my bus every morning..Haha, it was alot of fun though and good to get out. I had a headache when I got home and I wanted to lay down, so I was going to bed. BUT, I wanted to talk to my friends from back home before I did, and I had no way of doing that, because my itouch got stolen :[ But Evan has one, and he had been sick, and I noticed he was reading a book and wasn't using his, so I thought maybe he would let me use his just for the night, and HE DID! I was so happy to have such a nice younger brother, it meant alot to me that he would let me use it because mine had been stolen and I was devestated about that. So I used it for a while and then went to sleep. I woke up and my mom had wanted me to go walking with her. But I remembered I had already made plans with another white girl who was my roomate in Switzerland to go layout by the pool at ten and it was already nine thirty. So I checked my facebook and she messaged me and asked if we could go at one oclock instead, it worked out perfect! So I got to go running this morning, it felt so good! I ran a 5.8 K , I have been going a bit often it is a great walking trail. When we got back I got my swim suit on and went to the pool to meet Sally! When you tan I heard it works to put vegatable oil on you because it attracts the sun more so I brought that. While I was at the pool my mom calls and informs me, that she is cooking and can not find the vegatable oil, and was wondering if I had brought it with me. HAHAHAHA, oops sorry! When I came home I brought her the vegatable oil then I went to take a shower, when I come out of the shower the vegatable oil is in a pot STEAMING SO MUCH, and I went to get my mom and I was like "MOM! MOM YOUR COOKING REMEMBER?!?!?! " she's like "OH YEAH I FORGOT!" so she runs in there, to find all of the oil on FIRRREEEEEEE! and then, she grabs it runs outside yelling "GET DAD GET DAD" so I run in the front yard yelling " DAD FIREE DAD FIREE COME QUICKK!!!" (the yardboy heard and was quite confused) hahaha so he runs inside, and then mom had already ran the firey pot in the backyard and it's sitting on the grass flaming so huge, then he got a lid and threw it on top and saved the day!!! Its a good thing I brought the oil tanning with me so that didn't happen earlier, I wouldn't have been there to see it steaming, then nobody would have seen it on fire, and our new house would have burnt down, GOODNESS! After that fiasco, we ate dinner at a very nice couples house from Lake Charles, or Moss Bluff..I forgot. My dad and Evan happened to sit by them at their dive meeting, and they figured out that they are from there, and they are our neighbors! What a small world. But they were SO nice, and we ate PORK! (thats not aloud in Saudi) It was so tasty and they had so many neat nick nacks from all over the world. It was really awesome, and fun! I will take a picture with my reddish face, picture frame, WHILE wearing my burt's bees! okayyy, and post it(:

LATER LOVES!

ohhh- p.s DAVID GREEN was upset cause he wasn't in my last blog, so I told him he could be in this one, lol hi David(:

Another few days in Saudi

Some pics of when we went to Bahrain.

Below, us playing around in the BUGGY!

MAR'HABA!

Sorry I have not posted anything in quite some time. I don't know if anybody actually ever reads this, so I didn't ever care to update. These past days have been something else! We got a new car finally, and not ten minutes after the guy dropped it off, my dad was just like "ohh, lets go to Baharain." (thats a whole different country) So we just took off and left. It was quite the experience- let me tell you. It's probably thirty minutes away, but with traffic it took about five hours. It was a nice trip though, driving here is absolutely positively CRAZY! Nobody follows traffic laws, there are no lanes, men watch tv while they drive, everyone gets road rage, people honk nonstop, and they don't look before they move. SCARY! We went shopping, and then we went to eat, and after we ate we saw a movie. At the mall the Krispy Kreme donut shop guys did a dance, it was really hilarious! The movie we saw was YesMan. It was so funny, it has Jim Carrey in it. He is so hilarious, he plays in one of my favorite movies, Bruce Almighty! ANYWAY, lately I have basically just been doing school work and other things here and there. I have to take Arabic at my new school, as you can tell. I said something in Arabic above, that means hello. lol Everybody here INCLUDING MY TEACHERS always try to imitate my accent. You know, before I moved here I never thought of me having an accent, but apparently I do have a pretty strong one! People say its starting to get better though, so I don't know if it is going away, or if they are just getting used to it. I hope they are getting used to it because if I do have an accent, I would at least like to keep it! I will try to get better on this blogging thing. I feel like I am rambling on and on. OKAY SO, it was this kids birthday last week (James). That day our school got half of a day, and the school forgot to call the busses to come and get the kids in my area because the busses aren't owned from the school. Me and this kid (Taylor) called a taxi, then we were going to go meet James and a few others(samantha, francis, max, and another girl) at Chili's downtown to eat for James's birthday. So me and Taylor got there quite a while later, and when we arrive, we see a guy fighting, YES FIGHTING with the police. It was so crazy, we got out of the taxi and stood there and stared for a while, then Taylor informed me we better get inside before they come after us next. hahaha We ate and had a great time. Then we(me, james, max, francis, and taylor) got a taxi back and we were back in our compound walking on the street, and find a buggy. (they called it a "shopping cart") so we played in it. We got in it and ran down the hill and road. Then we (me, james, taylor, and max) all went to Taylor's house and just hung out. Then I went home, and went to another birthday party! This one was for my new friend Hayleigh. It was a blast; there was a DJ and a Shwarma maker, and it was a dress up party. There were alot of kids from school there. It was a "your a loser if you don't go" type of thing. So EVERYONE went! It was honestly the funnest day I have had here yet. Well, I will try to keep this updated. Leave me some comments (minfadhlek)! I love you and miss you all! I will be back in 103 days, I THINK THATS CORRECT!

The Move

The new move..
well hello everybody,This past week has been very interesting. I just moved to Saudi Arabi with my family, so i decided to make a blog so everybody could be updated on my life. First of all i must say I already miss everybody like crazy. We don't have phone or internet yet so im on somebody elses. The plane ride here was very long and quite boring. When we got here i got to my new house and went straight to bed. The next morning some people came by to meet us and invited us to a bon fire at the beach. I went to that, it was fun, i met some pretty fun kids. I still haven't made any good friends yet, im still not myself around them yet. Haha, im not usually shy at all, but around here i catch myself being shy and i start thinking "omg why am i being shy just be myself".. haha i will warm up eventually. Last night we ate dinner at a familys house, it was a fun christmas eve. Of course, the kids played rock band, the first song it was my turn to sing. haha , which i was still being my shy self so i was trying to sing quiet, and it was BAADD, hahaha, wow. . ANYWAY, for Christmas this morning, me and my family had chocolate chip pancakes, yum. Then we went into the mall in the city, it was very interesting. I was one out of about six women there not wearing an abiya, so i need to go get one. I didn't feel weird at all though. Ha,its early in the morning for everybody back at home. I havn't called anybody today. ..My bed so far is very hard and not cumfy, so that was the first thing i decided i needed to get. I got a very nice pillow that was about one hundred and seventy five Saudi Riyals (my new kinda money) and a mattress pad, still no feather bed or sheets, but at least its a little better. The culture is very different here, at the mall they have a gap though lol, and a few clairs.. well i will tell everybody more later, byye, merry christmas(:
